3,826. What the Temple Requires

Hilchos Beis HaBechirah 1:5

Following are the main things required when building the Temple: the Sanctuary, the Holy of Holies and the entry hall before the Sanctuary. These three things combined are called the Heichal. We must make another partition around the Heichal resembling the curtains surrounding the courtyard of the Tabernacle in the desert, some distance away. Everything surrounded by this partition is like the courtyard of the Tent of Meeting. This is called the Azarah. This whole area is called the Mikdash.

Hilchos Beis HaBechirah 1:6

We must make the following seven utensils for the Temple: the altar for the various offerings, the ramp that one uses to ascend the altar – this was placed in front of the entry hall to the south – the basin and its stand from which the kohanim would wash their hands and feet to perform the service – this was positioned between the entry hall and the altar, on the left when entering the Mikdash – the incense altar, the Menorah and the Table. These last three things were inside the Sanctuary, in front of the Holy of Holies.
