Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 9:13
If a man divorces his wife before shemittah, his obligation to pay her the value of her kesubah isn’t canceled by shemittah. If she weakened the strength of her kesubah (by admitting partial payment) or treated it as a loan, then it is canceled.
Hilchos Shemittah v’Yoveil 9:14
If one person lends money to another in exchange for some collateral, the debt isn’t canceled by shemittah so long as the collateral is worth the amount of the loan. If the debt is higher than the value of the collateral, then the surplus is canceled by shemittah.
