3,177. The Amounts for Maaser Ani

Hilchos Matnos Aniyim 6:8

A satisfactory amount of maaser ani is as follows: from wheat, no less than half a kav (about .75 liters); from barley, spelt or dried figs, no less than a kav (about 1.5 liters); from a cake of figs, no less than 25 sela in weight (about a quarter-pound); from wine, no less than half a log (about 6.5 oz.); from oil, no less than a reviis (a little more than 3 oz.); from rice, no less than a quarter-kav; from vegetables, he should give him a litra, which is the weight of 35 dinar; from carobs, three kav; ten nuts; five peaches; two pomegranates; one esrog. If he gives him other types of produce, it should be no less than he could sell and use to buy enough food for two meals.
