Parshas Shemini - Chamishi
(טז) וְאֵ֣ת ׀ שְׂעִ֣יר הַֽחַטָּ֗את דָּרֹ֥שׁ דָּרַ֛שׁ מֹשֶׁ֖ה וְהִנֵּ֣ה שֹׂרָ֑ף וַ֠יִּקְצֹ֠ף עַל־אֶלְעָזָ֤ר וְעַל־אִֽיתָמָר֙ בְּנֵ֣י אַהֲרֹ֔ן הַנּוֹתָרִ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃ (יז) מַדּ֗וּעַ לֹֽא־אֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אֶת־הַחַטָּאת֙ בִּמְק֣וֹם הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֛י קֹ֥דֶשׁ קׇֽדָשִׁ֖ים הִ֑וא וְאֹתָ֣הּ ׀ נָתַ֣ן לָכֶ֗ם לָשֵׂאת֙ אֶת־עֲוֺ֣ן הָעֵדָ֔ה לְכַפֵּ֥ר עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (יח) הֵ֚ן לֹא־הוּבָ֣א אֶת־דָּמָ֔הּ אֶל־הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ פְּנִ֑ימָה אָכ֨וֹל תֹּאכְל֥וּ אֹתָ֛הּ בַּקֹּ֖דֶשׁ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוֵּֽיתִי׃ (יט) וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אַהֲרֹ֜ן אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה הֵ֣ן הַ֠יּ֠וֹם הִקְרִ֨יבוּ אֶת־חַטָּאתָ֤ם וְאֶת־עֹֽלָתָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה וַתִּקְרֶ֥אנָה אֹתִ֖י כָּאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָכַ֤לְתִּי חַטָּאת֙ הַיּ֔וֹם הַיִּיטַ֖ב בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (כ) וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע מֹשֶׁ֔ה וַיִּיטַ֖ב בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ {פ}
(טז) וְיָת צְפִירָא דְחַטָּתָא מִתְבַּע תָּבְעֵי משֶׁה וְהָא אִתּוֹקָד וּרְגֵז עַל אֶלְעָזָר וְעַל אִיתָמָר בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן דְּאִשְׁתָּאָרוּ לְמֵימָר: (יז) מָדֵין לָא אֲכַלְתּוּן יָת חַטָּאתָא בַּאֲתַר קַדִּישׁ אֲרֵי קֹדֶשׁ קוּדְשִׁין הִיא וְיָתַהּ יָהֵב לְכוֹן לְסַלָּחָא עַל חוֹבֵי כְנִשְׁתָּא לְכַפָּרָא עַלֵיהוֹן קֳדָם יְיָ: (יח) הָא לָא אִתָּעַל יָת דְּמַהּ לְבֵית קֻדְשָׁא גַּוָּאָה מֵיכַל תֵּיכְלוּן יָתַהּ בְּקֻדְשָׁא כְּמָא דִי פַקֵּדִית: (יט) וּמַלִּיל אַהֲרֹן עִם משֶׁה הָא יוֹמָא דֵין קָרִיבוּ יָת חַטָּאתְהוֹן וְיָת עֲלָתְהוֹן קֳדָם יְיָ וַעֲרָעָא יָתִי עָקָן כְּאִלֵּין וְאִלּוּפוֹן אֲכָלִית חַטָּאתָא יוֹמָא דֵין הֲתַקֵּן קֳדָם יְיָ: (כ) וּשְׁמַע משֶׁה וּשְׁפַר בְּעֵינוֹהִי:
16. Moshe inquired about the goat for the sin offering and behold, it had been burned. He became angry with Elazar and with Isamar, Aharon’s remaining sons, saying, 17. “Why did you not eat the sin offering in a holy place? Because it is most holy and He gave it to you to forgive on[1] the sins[2] of the congregation, to atone for them before Hashem. 18. Since of its blood was not brought to inside the place of holiness, you certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary as I commanded.” 19. Aharon spoke with Moshe, “Behold, this day they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Hashem and tragedies like this happened to me![3] If I had eaten (the) sin offering today, would it have been appropriate before Hashem?”[4] 20. Moshe heard and it was pleasing in his eyes.
